Conversation 1

Man: What do you do?
Woman: I work at a tech company.
Man: Oh, what do you do there?
Woman: I design software.
Man: Do you like your job?
Woman: Yeah, I enjoy it.
Man: Where is your office?
Woman: I work at the new office downtown.
Man: Nice. How do you get to work?
Woman: I take the bus. I don’t have a car.
Man: Same here!

Conversation 2

Man: Do you belong to a gym?
Woman: Yes, I go to the gym near my house.
Man: What do you do at the gym? How do you exercise?
Woman: On Monday and Tuesday I do yoga. The gym has a pool, so I sometimes swim.
Man: Oh, I do yoga too! I do it at home though. I watch videos online.
Woman: Oh, you don’t belong to a gym?
Man: No, I don’t like gyms. For exercise, I jog in the park, or play soccer with friends.
Woman: Oh, that works. I love running in the park.
Man: Cool! Let’s jog together sometime.
Woman: I’d like that!

Conversation 3

Man: What do your parents do?
Woman: They both work in sales.
Man: Oh, what do they sell?
Woman: They sell houses. They have a real estate company.
Man: That’s a difficult job.
Woman: It is. They work long hours, but they like it. What about your parents?
Man: They’re professors. They teach at the university.
Woman: Oh, what do they teach?
Man: They both teach business.

Conversation 4

Man: Where do you live?
Woman: I live near the river.
Man: Oh, I love that area. Do you live in a house or an apartment?
Woman: I live in a house.
Man: Nice. Do you live alone, or with family?
Woman: I live with my parents. I don’t pay rent, so I save money.
Man: Do you like it there?
Woman: Yes, I do, but my house is old. What about you?
Man: I live in a small apartment downtown near the station.
Woman: Do you live alone?
Man: Yes, I do, but I want a roommate.
Woman: Really? How much is the rent?
