no worries
No worries. In Australia, when I was a child, I used to play cricket and Australian football every weekend.
We can use the phrase 'no worries' to show that something is not a problem.
Notice the following:
- I think I will pass my exam, no worries.
- It's fine. I can get my own lunch, no worries.
during the week
I play golf every weekend, and in summer sometimes during the week.
'During the week' refers to the days of the week, Monday through Friday, and not the weekend.
Notice the following:
- I go to work during the week.
- During the week my children go to school.
it is cheap
In Australia it is really cheap to play golf.
If something is 'cheap' it means that it is not expensive or does not cost a lot of money.
Notice the following:
- Look at this dress. It's cute and it's cheap.
- It is cheaper if you go on holiday off season.
I don't anymore
I used to play tennis, but I don't anymore.
If you 'don't do something anymore' it means that in the past you did it, but now you don't.
Notice the following:
- When I was younger I went to school, but I don't anymore.
- I used to love you, but I don't anymore.
lessons
I once took tennis lessons.
'Lessons' are something that you attend in order to learn a new skill or to improve on a current skill.
Notice the following:
- I am going to start taking driving lessons next year.
- My mum says I need singing lessons.
